Life lesson of the weekend

Silk does not stretch. Period. It is an immutable physical law of the universe. It is incredibly strong, tough and coherent; you can tailor it to tolerances that would give any other fabric screaming migraines; but it does not, can not and will not stretch, and no amount of coaxing, chicanery or brute force will make it do so.
